Adventures and misadventures in Real Estate

On a warm summer night some of my clients met with me at my house to sign closing papers for their house. It was one of those nights where you could feel the calm before the storm. Sure enough it was a dandy of a storm. Thunder lightening the whole nine yards. We met in the kitchen and didnt pay much attention to the storm. We were just starting when the lights went out accompanied by a thunderous clap. The buyers, determined to have everything settled that night were laughing at the irony. I tried to remember where any unscented candles might be but it was of no use. All we had were scented candles. Figuring that was the best we could do we lit the candles and signed paper after paper until there were no more. Afterwards we sat at the table and talked until the storm seemed a little less violent and the buyers figured it was about time to go. They left with a new house as well as the aroma of Pumpkin, Blueberry, Watermelon, Hickory, and Pine scented wax in their lungs.
